Heather Fitzgerald is a marketing professional with over 20 years experience in sales and marketing across a range of environments. Having worked with both global brands and independent, start up companies, Heather is comfortable working on an international level, as well as on smaller, more local projects. A communications specialist, Heather is passionate about clear, effective customer communication and targeted advertising and promotions that yield tangible results.
For many years Heather held senior marketing roles in the hotel and travel industry and was most recently Director of Marketing for Preferred Hotels & Resorts and Summit Hotels & Resorts working on global brand awareness campaigns including PR, advertising and market research. Prior to that Heather was Corporate Marketing Director for Utell International developing their rate management and online strategies.
As a consultant, Heather has been commissioned by clients to advise on marketing strategy, website design and optimisation, online distribution and event management.
Trained in Hotel Management, Heather began her career working in both sales and marketing roles for Holiday Inns and then Marriott Hotels. Whilst living in the United States, Heather worked in an advisory capacity to the San Jose Symphony Orchestra, a non-profit organisation, developing strategies to attract new and younger audiences.
Originally from New Zealand, Heather has also lived and worked in Australia, the United States and various locations in the UK. She is now based in West London.
